about Sarah
- I was born on November 22, 1970 in the sweet little state of Indiana.
- I was adopted when I was 6 days old.
- I reunited with my birthparents when I was 28--and its been great.
- I have a lot of parents--in addition to the birth and adoptive ones, I tend to adopt others.
- I love to try new things (except things that are gross.)
- I love to cook and throw elaborate dinner parties.
- I collect food movies.
- I dream of opening a restaurant.
- I have a Bachelors of Architecture and a Masters in Art Education.
- I love teaching and working with kids.
- My favorite class to teach was one on fort and treehouse building.
- Although I've never had my own treehouse, I would love to have one.
- I have an adorable (but talkative and demanding - I have no idea who she gets it from) cat named Stormy.
- Stormy is hanging out with Amy (BFF) and Sandra this year--I predict she will be reading more academic books when I return.
- Having turned my nose up at country music for years, I discovered bluegrass after moving to San Francisco and have become a huge fan, so much so, that I went out and bought a mandolin.
- I can play one song on my mandolin--Oh Susana!
- I love to dance.
- I learned to rollerskate backwards this year.
- I have a great group of friends--all of whom I am drawn to because of their energy, creativity, and beautiful personalities! They are my west coast family.
- I love to be so caught up in a book that I think about when I'm not reading it, and I can't wait to read it again.
- I love to paint.
- I think I can almost taste color.
